The cloister of Sant Francesc is the nicest cloister in Palma, recently restored, when you do the visit, you can see the cloister and the church of Sant Francesc, the visit will not take you long time but you have to see it, admision cost one euro. It is a little bit out of the path and a little less touristic, but you have to look well when is open, because most of the time is closed.
One of the kings of Mallorca, the first son of James II, gave up his right to be a king to become a monk of Sant Francesc. Another daughte of James II, Sancha queen of Napels, Sicily and Jerusalem.

Sancha, made sure that the fanciscan order could install in Jerusalem and in Belen in the wholy places, and made sure that those monks always had money, so that they could prevail as they have done till the day of today there, so now in the headquarters of the franciscan order in Jerusalem there is a painting of the queen Sancha

The Complex of Sant Francesc we know today, is one third of what it was in the past. Due to a law called Desamortizacion two of the three cloisers were taken to the monks.
Cloister Of the Right, it used to be used as the prison of the city, this are the rest of the cloister.
