Kingdoom of Mallorca
What it is to day a well known touristic destination, a place known world wide for its party and its beaches, was once a medieval kingdom. Here we can find the genealogy. After James III the crown passed to the catalonians and then to the spanish crown. The king of Spain, is now king of Mallorca, but some people, still claim the crown. The Almudaina is the headquarters of the crown of Mallorca. This is the history of Sancho de Mallorca
One of the kings of Mallorca, the first son of James II, gave up his right to be a king to become a monk of Sant Francesc. Another daughte of James II, Sancha queen of Napels, Sicily and Jerusalem.
Sancha, made sure that the fanciscan order could install in Jerusalem and in Belen in the wholy places, and made sure that those monks always had money, so that they could prevail as they have done till the day of today there, so now in the headquarters of the franciscan order in Jerusalem there is a painting of the queen Sancha
The palace of the reis of Mallorca in Valldemossa was the summer residence of the Reis de Mallorca.
The Castle of Bellver was built by James II
The church of Sant Jaume was settled under the protection of the the Kings of Mallorca
