Almost everybody that goes to Palma, takes one day excursion to Soller, to Soller you go with the small train of Soller, this train is one century old and is really a journey to the past, you can stay in soller, also there is a tram that takes you to the port of Soller.

Valldemossa

Valldemossa is a small town near Palma, is very nice because is very well taken care of, over there you have to visit the Cartoixa, and the palace of rei Sanç, that was the summer palace of the kings of Mallorca, when Mallorca was a kingdoom, over there you will enjoy of a typical Mallorcan dances. In the Cartoixa you will see the room were Chopin and George Sand spend a winter in Mallorca, overall the town is nice because you can go for a walk see some things and be back in Palma, if you want pretty soon, because is very near from Palma. To see how was live in Valldemossa when Chopin was there, you have to read the book A Winter in Mallorca, or wath the movie The Great Silence
