Llorenc Cerda
Llorenc Cerda, died in the year 1955 and became predilect son of Pollensa. Llorenc Cerda was boss of the School of Arts of Mallorca, his teacher was the famous Sorolla. He studied with scholarship in Madrid and Rome, he was awarded with the silver medal of The Universal Exposition of Barcelona in the year 1888 after that he came back to Mallorca where he was from.
When he arrived to Mallorca he started painting landscapes the way Sorolla did. His paintings are in Lluch and Valldemossa, some paintings are in The Fomento de Turismo and The Consell de Mallorca. His style is used still by many painters. He had his studio in street Sol
