Villa Dragan

Today 22nd of August 2008 died Constanatino Dragan. He was the owner of Villa Dragan, one of the three last villas in Passeig Maritim de Palma. He bough it in the year 1960 and he furnished it in luxury, this villa is very similar to Palacio de Marivent, the actual summer residence of the Kings of Spain. He oposed to sell the villa, even that he was offered a lot of money, and now thanks to him, the city of Palma has another beatiful building left.

Bullfighting in Palma


On the 24th of July there is a bullfight, here are the bullfighters

  • Jose Maria Manzanares
  • Cayetano
In Palma de Mallorca, there is arround two or three bullfights every year, the bullfights in Palma, they are very good so is worth going there, usually they are in the summer, the bad part about it, is that you never know when they are held, and maybe you know the same day or two or three days ahead. The entrance is expensive, but worth the price.

Can Joan de Saigo





This cafe-ice cream place, is the most popular in Palma, and the most traditional. No matter how old you are, if you are tourist or local from Palma, everybody likes to go there. The cafe open in 1700 and it is still opened. The tipical think to eat there is helado con ensaimada, that is ice cream with ensaimada is a typical pastry of Mallorca

The online newspaper mallorcadiario has a new system that lets you see if there is traffic jam in the entrance of Palma, if you have a blackberry or a phone with access to the internet is worth taking a pic before getting in Palma


Also now the town hall, has putted two panels with information about the traffic, real time, there will be more.

Bischop Garden





At the end of Carrer Zanglada, they are located the bischop´s garden, sometimes are opened and some times are closed, but if they are opened, they are a perfect spot to have a rest, because really there you can hear nothing, you are in one of the most centric locations of the city, but is so silent.

Ca la Torre


It is a good idea to get lost in the center of Palma, here we will have the chance to see many mansions. This one in the picture is Ca la torre, one of the nicest houses of Palma. At its time when it was build was house of a Marquis, but arround twenty years ago was sold to the architects of Palma, anyway still now you can enter the patio

La Lonja

This is the part of town where you can have hight class party, exclusive, authentic. It is said that when the Clintons were presidents and came to Palma, Chelsea went out to La Lonja






La Lonja, is the old stock market of Mallorca. In the past, transportation, was mainly made by sea. The Mediterranean Sea, was the higway of the world, and Mallorca, was in the center, Mallorca, was in an strategic location. That was the reason why it had a stock market. The Lonja Was the Precedent of the actual Industrial Chamber of Navigation and Comerce
