The number is not clear, but in the old Palma, there was arround from 200 palaces or 127 (manor houses). Luckily they were many, because the past of the times makes that every day there is less. Suposely now there is only 16 in its original way.
Today 22nd of August 2008 died Constanatino Dragan. He was the owner of Villa Dragan, one of the three last villas in Passeig Maritim de Palma. He bough it in the year 1960 and he furnished it in luxury, this villa is very similar to Palacio de Marivent, the actual summer residence of the Kings of Spain. He oposed to sell the villa, even that he was offered a lot of money, and now thanks to him, the city of Palma has another beatiful building left.
